POST-PEEL PROCEDURE: RESTORE

Apply the NeoStrata® Post-Peel NutriCream (a non-steroid, non-AHA, restorative emollient) immediately following the peel and then twice a day until the skin returns to near-normal appearance.

To promote the healing process, patients should:

Apply Post-Peel NutriCream twice daily for two to seven days, or as needed during the renewal period for sustained comfort.

Avoid sun exposure until the skin returns to a near-normal appearance and use a sunscreen as tolerated.

Avoid products containing Alpha Hydroxyacids (AHA) until the skin returns to its normal condition.

Delay application of make-up for 24 hours on the peeled area.

Avoid the use of abrasive or exfoliating sponges on the area.

Until the skin returns to normal, the patient should not peel, pick, scrape, scratch the skin; should not use a mask on the skin; should not wear tight head bands, hats, etc.; or expose the skin to the sun.

Maintain the newly peeled skin using the NeoStrata® Facial Cleanser and one of the NeoStrata® AHA Creams, Lotions or Gels, once the skin returns to near-normal appearance. Protect during the daytime by using a NeoStrata® moisturizer with SPF 15 sunscreen. Following a peel, sensitive skin may better tolerate a NeoStrata® cream with gluconolactone.
