WHAT ARE THE UNIQUE CHARACTERISTICS OF EXUVIANCE® PRODUCTS?

Exuviance® by NeoStrata® offers a complete system of scientifically developed, highly effective alpha and poly hydroxyacid (AHA / PHA) skin care products. Developed by Drs. Van Scott and Yu, the inventors of AHA technology, Exuviance® is a medically-driven skin care system formulated with patented AHA and PHAs with the additional benefit of multi-antioxidants, multi-vitamins, rich botanicals and extracts, and sunscreens.

Exuviance® offers complete facial skin care - cleansing, toning and moisturizing products. Additionally, products are available to improve the quality of the eye area, lips, hands and body, as well as treatment products for skin problems such as blemishes and discolorations. Finally, Exuviance® offers something that no other line has - a foundation makeup that is a unique skin treatment/protection product.

The Exuviance® Skin care System is specially formulated to enhance the skin's natural process of exuviation. By enhancing exuviation, the corneocytes retained as loose aggregates in older skin that make it appear rough, dry and flaky are replaced by new skin cells, which give the skin a younger, healthier, more radiant appearance.

All Exuviance® products are dermatologist developed and tested. The moisturizing cremes and fluids are non-comedogenic and non-acnegenic. The eye crème is fragrance-free and has been ophthalmologist tested. The sensitive skin products are hypoallergenic.

WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES OF THE EWUVIANCE® PROFESSIONAL LINE OF PRODUCTS?

The Exuviance® Professional brand consists of specialty, higher strength AHA/PHA products in upscale packaging which are sold exclusively through licensed skin care professionals including estheticians and physicians, and will not be available at retail. However, reference to Exuviance® Professional products are on the package insert within every retail Exuviance® product. Exuviance® Professional products are not a full skin care regimen. View them as complimentary to the retail line and not as substitutes.

CAN PATIENTS WITH SKIN SENSITIVITIES USE EXUVIANCE® PRODUCTS?

Yes. The Exuviance® line has been allergy tested.

Additionally, Gluconolactone which is a PHA technology exclusive to the NeoStrata® Company (makers of Exuviance®), has been clinically tested on patients with Rosacea and Atopic Dermatitis without adverse effects. This technology is available in all Exuviance® Sensitive Skin Care formulations.

WHAT IS LACTOBIONIC ACID?

The oxidized form of milk sugar (lactose), Lactobionic Acid is classified as a complex Poly Hydroxy AHA because it contains Gluconolactone chemically connected to the sugar Galactose. This makes the compound unique in skin care, as it combines the benefits of Gluconolactone (a PHA known for its antioxidant, exfoliating, moisturizing, and cell nourishing properties) with Galactose (which has been shown to enhance wound healing and is a key factor in collagen synthesis and cell migration). Lactobionic Acid has been shown to provide increased plumping of the skin for a smoother, younger look. Other benefits of Lactobionic Acid's molecular structure include gentler absorption and exfoliation, giving it the ability to treat even the most sensitive of skins.
