PRE-PEEL PROCEDURE: PREPARE THE SKIN

Two weeks prior to the peel procedure, cleanse twice daily with the NeoStrata® Facial Cleanser. Following cleansing with the application of one of the NeoStrata® creams, lotions or gels that contain glycolic acid. Since the goal is to acclimate the skin to glycolic acid prior to the peel, the use of glycolic acid home care products is recommended.

Upon arrival to the office, patients should wash with the NeoStrata® Facial Cleanser to remove make-up and surface oils. Hair should be secured off the face using clips or a surgical bonnet.

Remove any eyewear including contact lenses.

Thoroughly cleanse the skin using the NeoStrata® Optimal Pre-Peel Cleanser to remove any residual skin debris and prepare the skin for the peel. The Optimal Pre-Peel Cleanser will remove lipids and cellular debris as well as bring the skin to a uniform pH level. Do not rinse off the Optimal Pre-Peel Cleanser.

Apply petrolatum lightly to any cuts or abrasions, upper and lower lip lines, creases of the mouth, nose and eyes, and other areas in which the peel solution may pool, using a small cotton-tipped application, to protect these areas during the procedure.

Place a fan about four feet from the patient's face to help keep the skin cool during the peel procedure. Turn the fan on before applying the NeoStrata® High Potency Peel solution.
